At the heart of the Festival is its large community of enthusiastic and committed Festival Volunteers who selflessly give up their free time to make sure that our audiences have a top class festival experience.
Selected through an application process, each year sees new and returning volunteers offering their services to the Festival. Volunteers comprise all ages and nationalities and generously lend themselves to staffing various departments and venues for the Festival period. They can be found everywhere from the lobbies welcoming the patrons, to assisting with back of house duties with box office and production, to liaising with our guests in hospitality.
Be part of ADIFF
Volunteering is a fantastic way to experience the cinematic celebration that the festival brings to Dublin each year, and presents a wonderful opportunity to gain first-hand experience of how an event of this scale is managed and organised. But not only this, volunteering becomes a community that lives beyond the festival, evolving into both social and professional circles in the arts in Ireland.
How to Apply
ADIFF is currently seeking people to join our team as Festival Volunteers for the 2018 festival to help us bring the world’s best films to Dublin.
This is an incredible opportunity to join a diverse team of smart, enthusiastic and dedicated Festival Volunteers, becoming an invaluable part of the festival experience that the festival takes seriously.
Volunteering can be a brilliant way to join our cinematic celebration while building up your festival experience, exploring the city in a new way and making new connections – both whilst on the job and of course relaxing after a film at the Festival Club.
Depending on individual availability, volunteers can either apply to be full-time (a minimum of one shift per day during the Festival) or part-time. Each volunteer needs to be able to commit to a minimum of 5 volunteering shifts.
