Ten-year-old Dolphin knows the truth about her mum; she suffers from a mental illness that makes her different from all the other mums at school. But it's exactly that difference, the magic and wonder that Marigold brings to life, as well as the gloriously colourful tattoos that cover her body, that makes her really special. If only her big sister Star still believed in Marigold - then nothing would ever have to change.
