Taking place 3 – 14 March 2021, the Virgin Media Dublin International Film Festival is Ireland’s premier film festival event. The Festival curates and presents the best in emerging international and Irish film for a wide audience through its annual festival. In 2021, the Festival will present a hybrid festival with films screened in cinemas, outdoors and online.

Job Description

Reporting to the Head of Development & Marketing, the Digital Marketing Executive will work with the wider Marketing team to deliver the Festival digital marketing and sales strategy. The Digital Marketing Executive will be responsible for creating exciting and engaging content to build and engage audiences for the 2021 Festival.

Start Date: Immediate

End Date: 19 March 2021

Location: Remote working due to Covid-19 restrictions until the Festival period in late Feb

Salary: €500 per week

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement digital strategy for the festival to maximise audience engagement and ticket sales 
  • Create content for all social media channels including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram
  • Work with Head of Development & Marketing to build digital advertising strategy within Festival budget.
  • Day to day management of digital advertising campaign including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram ads
  • Day to Day management of Google adwords campaigns and spend
  • Communicate with Festival audience segments via Mailchimp, creating appropriate and engaging content for different audiences
  • Create collateral for digital marketing and social media channels 
  • Keep Festival Website updated with ticketing and marketing content
  • Work with Festival Designer to create digital marketing assets and materials
  • Manage digital marketing agreements with partners and sponsors and ensure these are fulfilled.  
  • Ensure maximum exposure of the festival’s own branding in conjunction with the title sponsor’s, Platinum and Gold Level Sponsors’ branding and advertising campaign and to ensure that the optimum balance between both is maintained

Essential skills / experience

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a digital marketing role
  • Strong understanding of digital advertising, digital audience development, look-alike audiences, Google Ads, re-marketing strategies. 
  • Experience with performance analytics and reporting
  • Some design skills and familiarity with design and content software. 
  • Experience working with a range of stakeholders
  • Strong copywriting & communication skills
