Donate to Dublin International Film Festival and support our future!

The Dublin International Film Festival is a not-for-profit organisation, bringing Irish audiences the very best in international and contemporary cinema each year. While it is supported by The Arts Council/An Chomhairle Ealaíon, it continues to rely on the generosity of donations to bring the world’s best films to Dublin; to foster new talent by providing learning opportunities for fledgling filmmakers; and to support the Festival’s outreach programmes: Screen8, Fantastic Flix and Picture House.

By donating to DIFF you can make help to secure the future of the Festival. All gifts, no matter the size, will help continue to grow and support the future development of this key platform for film in Ireland.

View Dublin International Film Festival 2023 donation page.

Fantastic Flix

Through Fantastic Flix, our children’s and young people’s strand, DIFF helps children at risk of disadvantage and social exclusion to attend practical workshops, as well as screenings of cultural and foreign-language cinema.

A donation of €25 will cover the cost of a teacher and four children attending a Fantastic Flix screening.

Picture House

Since its inception in 2012, Picture House has delivered a cinematic experience to audiences who can’t easily access the big screen. DIFF organises screenings in a variety of settings from care homes and hospitals to addiction centres. Academy Award-winning actress Brenda Fricker is the patron of Picture House.

A donation of €25 will contribute to the cost of the rights to the next film screened as part of the Picture House programme.

Screen8

Screen8 is a free after-school programme that gives young people from inner-city Dublin the chance to work together on a short film, mentored by award-winning industry personnel. Designed to give young people of all backgrounds the confidence and skills to pursue a career in the film industry, the programme was a tremendous success in its inaugural year, and we plan to expand the programme over the next few years.

A donation of €25 will make an invaluable contribution to the costs of running the programme in the coming year.
