The most influential and revered soprano of the 20th century - the very personification of the word ‘diva’ - is brought vividly to life in this revealing documentary. Much of Callas’ life, rise to fame and consequences of that fame are revealed through her own words and experiences. The film is an intimate, detailed account of her story, including never-before-seen footage and accounts from many of those who worked with her and knew her.

With the support of the French Embassy in Ireland.

Alongside some beautiful footage, Volf's films succeeds best when giving Callas back her a speaking voice - wry and wistful and tinged with regret - its a wonderful tribute to this eternal diva
