Photographer Richard Billingham, who previously published an acclaimed book of photography about his chaotic family life, now returns to his childhood with his feature debut. The colourful parents of his troubled childhood remerge in this kitchen-sink drama. Set in 1990s Britain, it centres on the relationship between his father Ray, an alcoholic, and his formidable mother Liz. What emerges is a starkly honest account of growing up in a difficult environment.
