  • How it Works

How it Works

Before you start your festival experience, take a few moments to learn how the Online Festival works this year!

  • First of all, you need to set up your Account on our Eventive Platform.

  • Check out the Online Festival Programme: just like in a real cinema, each online film screening has a limited number of seats. If you want to make sure you see a film, the safest option is to pre-book!

  • Manage your Festival Experience: from My Content Library you can: organize your screenings, make reservations, find out what's happening in real time, access the films and start watching, track your purchases, and share your schedule with friends.

  • Buy Tickets or a Pass in advance as all films have limited seats and sales are first-come, first-served. All passes and tickets are available for purchase in the island of Ireland.

  • If you are a Pass Holder, Reserve Your Ticket: in My Schedule you can reserve and secure your seat. Have a single film ticket? Your ticket is your reservation, so you're all set.

  • The online film screenings are scheduled at different times over the 12  days of the Festival. Unless otherwise stated, each online film is available to unlock for 72 hours after it premieres.

  • Once a film is online, unless otherwise stated, you have 30 hours from unlocking the film to start the film and a further 30 hours to finish watching the film.

  • If are you unsure about how much time you have left to watch a film, you can find this info on the online film listing.

  • During the Festival - 3 - 14 March 2021: You can access screenings through the My Schedule or the Online Festival Programme. Just click “watch” and enjoy the film!

  • Have fun! Join your friends for a watch party and share your experience on social media: use the official hashtag #VMDIFF21 and tag us!
