Jameson Dublin International Film Festival the National Concert Hall and the RTÉ Concert Orchestra are delighted to announce a special concert on 19 Feb 2013 celebrating film composer Dario Marianelli (Pride and Prejudice, Anna Karenina, Atonement), as part of Ireland’s EU Presidency celebrations. The concert is presented in association with Italian Institute of Culture–Dublin.

Italian composer Dario Marianelli won the Oscar, Golden Globe and Ivor Novello in the Best Original Score category for the award winning film Atonement, for which he was also BAFTA nominated. He was previously Oscar nominated for his score for Pride and Prejudice. Dario has composed the music for a range of acclaimed films such as Jane Eyre, Pride and Prejudice, The Brothers Grimm, V for Vendetta, the Irish feature films Ailsa and I Went Down and most recently Anna Karenina.

The RTÉ Concert Orchestra present a programme specially selected for the National Concert Hall by the composer including music from Ailsa and I Went Down as well as debut Irish performances of his Brothers Grimm, Pride and Prejudice, Anna Karenina and Atonement Suites.

The concert will be introduced by composer Dario Marianelli.

Ireland’s foremost film event, the Jameson Dublin International Film Festival 2013 will take place from 14-24th February 2013.
