Volunteer Applications Now Open The Virgin Media Dublin International Film Festival Volunteers Programme is an exciting way to become an integral part of Ireland’s premier cinematic event running from 26th February until 8th March 2020. Here at Virgin Media DIFF we pride ourselves on creating a close-knit environment for our volunteers. Each year we receive a batch of enthusiastic newcomers from both across the nation and across the seas, and we are also lucky to welcome back many returning volunteers, who bring with them a wealth of experience and a knowledge and love for what the Festival is all about! Volunteering has many benefits. As well as being a fantastic way to meet like-minded people, explore the city, and experience the cinematic celebration that the Festival brings to Dublin each year, it’s a wonderful opportunity to gain first-hand experience of how an event of this scale is managed and organised. The connections formed between volunteers (both on the job and afterwards, relaxing at the Festival Club) last far beyond each Festival, evolving into both social and professional circles in the Irish arts scene. How to Apply Depending on your availability, you can either apply to be full-time (a minimum of one shift per day during the Festival) or part-time. Each volunteer must be able to commit to a minimum of five shifts. The Virgin Media Dublin International Film Festival operates an inclusive volunteer programme which welcomes volunteers of all ages and ethnicities, and volunteers with disabilities. The Festival relies on people with a wide variety of skills; if you have a physical disability or other access requirements we will do our best to accommodate your needs. Please note that you must be over 18 to apply. Applications for 2020 are now closed. For any questions, comments or queries please do not hesitate to contact us at [email protected] or 01 662 4260.
