This film will be followed by a 20 minute Q&A
Aida (Afef Ben Mahmoud) is a member of the contemporary dance troupe ‘Without Borders’ touring Morocco. During a performance in a small Middle Atlas town, she is injured by her stage partner Hedi (Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui). And thus begins an exodus of dramatic events through a long night across the woods, on the way to the doctor in the next village. The forest floor becomes a stage for the troupe as group dynamics are explored and exposed through movement and performance. A vibrant and original work of cinema. This screening is part of our Country In Focus strand: a celebration of Moroccan Cinema. It is proudly supported by the Embassy of Morocco
