From Hilde With Love

Andreas Dresen
Berlin, 1942. A young bespectacled Hilde (Liv Lisa Fries) falls in love with Hans (Johannes Hegemann), entering his world of anti-fascist resistance. The couple is soon arrested by the Gestapo with Hilde eight months pregnant. This is the story of the few meagre months that she gets to spend with her baby boy within the grey confines of prison. Based on real events, Andreas Dresen's Berlinale film is about doing the right thing, no matter what.
