The Dublin International Film Festival is a not-for-profit organisation, bringing Irish audiences the very best in international and contemporary cinema each year. While it is supported by The Arts Council/ An Chomhairle Ealaíon, it continues to rely on the generosity of donations to enable us to bring the world’s best films to Dublin; foster new talent by providing learning opportunities for fledgling filmmakers; and support the festival’s various outreach programmes, Fantastic Flix and PictureHouse.
Through Fantastic Flix, our children’s and young people’s strand, DIFF helps children at risk of disadvantage and social exclusion attend practical workshops as well as screenings of cultural and foreign language cinema. A donation of €25 will cover the cost of a teacher and four children attending a Fantastic Flix screening.
Since its inception in 2012, PictureHouse delivers a cinematic experience to audiences who can’t easily access the big screen. DIFF organises screenings in a variety of settings from old age care centres and hospitals to prisons. Academy Award winning actress Brenda Fricker is the patron of PictureHouse. A donation of €25 will contribute to the cost of the rights to the next film screened as part of the PictureHouse programme.
By donating to the Dublin International Film Festival you can make a valuable contribution to ensuring the future of the Festival. All gifts, no matter the size, will help continue to grow and support the future development of this key platform for film in Ireland.
