With multiple locks on its front door and artistic paraphernalia in every corner, a Park Avenue apartment brings together a daughter, Charlotte (Katherine Waterston), who has left behind her controlling husband and her ranch, and a mother, Kit (Fiona Shaw), who is daring, deluxe, and hiding an inconveniently timed secret. One is a terrible liar and the other, a great one. Over a fraught six weeks, they explore shared history and unshared truths, and learn to face both love and loss. This is Gaby Dellal’s love letter to New York, masterfully decorated by production designer Katie Fleming and beautifully tailored by costume designer Thomas Shuster.
