A careers event featureing filmmakers, partners, and professionals from the DIFF 2026 programme

Following the success of Dublin International Film Festival 2026, our best-attended festival to date, we’re extending that momentum into a new initiative:
ACCESS ALL AREAS: DIFF 2026
Taking place at Lighthouse Cinema on 8–9 May, this free two-day careers event is designed to connect young people (16–24) directly with the industry behind the festival. The aim is to move beyond inspiration and provide tangible access, creating real pathways into the industry for the next generation.
Drawing on the 2026 programme, the event will feature filmmakers, creatives and organisations who were part of this year’s festival, offering:. Attendees will get first-hand insight into careers across the screen industries, screenings and Q&As with festival contributors, panels and masterclasses led by industry professionals. Participating organisations will be on-site to discuss paid internship opportunities.

FRIDAY 8 MAY

11.00 - 12.30: DIFF Discoveries Short Film Screenings and Panel [SOLD OUT]
14.30 - 15.30: Masterclass in Advertising and Film with Banjoman [SOLD OUT]
SATURDAY 9 May
10.00 - 14.00: Stalls with industry professionals
10.15 - 12.30: Screening of 500 Miles and Panel*
*Panelists include producer Martina Niland, screenwriter Malcolm Campbell, and costume designer Leonie Prendergast. The Panel will take place after the screening.
